October is breast cancer awareness month! Have you had your annual mammogram and performed your monthly self-breast exam? Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide (1 in 8 women). Susan G. Komen and The Women's Wellness Place encourages women to take the steps to detect it early. Use this link below and print off your Susan G. Komen's breast self awareness message to help remind you to do your monthly self breast exams. Educate yourself and know what you are feeling. If you are not sure, call our office and make an appointment to discuss your symptoms and risk factors. Crouse Hospital's Breast Center offers free parking in the Crouse garage (not the attached CNY parking garage-Crouse offers $3 off at this garage) on the day of your mammogram (if you schedule your yearly gynecologic exam and mammogram on the same day you won't have to pay for parking!).
