Breast Cancer Sister Study

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, through the
National Institutes of Health, is conducting a federally funded, ten-year
study of the environmental, lifestyle and genetic factors possibly
associated with breast cancer. The study focuses on women who have had a
sister with breast cancer.
The criteria for participating in the study are:
35 to 74-year-old female
Lives in the U.S.
Must have, or have had, a sister or half-sister, alive or deceased, with
a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Has not had breast cancer herself.

A fifteen-minute telephone interview will determine whether or not you're
eligible, and, if so, explain your commitment if you agree to participate.

They hope to find 50,000 women for the study. Only 10,000 are enrolled
so far, so please forward this to women who might be eligible.
